Best Bond Ever

I've seen all of the James Bond movies... in order. There are some great ones, some good ones, and many awful ones. Speaking from this history of knowledge I feel that I must speak regarding the newest Bond film.
I've seen the new James Bond (Casino Royale) 3 times now and I can say, without reservation, that it is the best of all 21 films. It is incredible. Somehow, they managed to strip away all of the bullshit but leave behind only those things that make James Bond so captivating.
Perfect.
That is all.

Shortcuts (Mac only)

I love shortcut keystrokes. The most recent one I have discovered is for iTunes. I hate it that I have to click the little green zoom button to shrink my iTunes window to just display current song info. Seth, I know you don't use that view but I'm sharing anyway. If you hit Ctrl + Cmd + Z it zooms the window. Brilliant!

My Whole World In Their Hands

Well, since this blog is now a first page result when you google my name (and destined to rise to the top), I figure it isn't a good idea to publicly insult all the people who I'll some day be asking for post docs. So, I've taken down the post I made yesterday.

By the way, as of today we're sitting at T - 7 days. For those of you who don't know, that T stands for trebuchet.

This one's for you Carrie

And for anyone else who has trouble rolling their R's.

In the meantime

As we all eagerly await the pictures of Jeff Albertson and the Caveman here's something to pass the time. It almost makes me want to change our plans for Colorado.

Well, I'm Sold

Really, what other explanation besides the existence of a kind, merciful and omnipotent creator could we come up with to explain why it is so easy to eat a banana?

(please note that these observations only apply to a "well made" banana)

Gold Farming

I love the blurring of the line between virtual and physical when economics are involved. I get a great kick when people sell items from online games in the real world for real money. It makes terms like "real world" and "real money" much more confusing. Its amazing how fast these markets are filled. Check out this article at BB. Gold farming, exploitive (because its China) but quite a line-blurring concept.

Behind the Times

I'm sure I'm behind the times here but some friends of mine played this song for me the other night and I wanted to share this flash animation with the world. Hopefully our fair readers are only getting their pop-culture access through us and, as a result, have not seen this previously. Here it is. Worth seeing The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny

I Didn't Get Any Email Today

This may seem presumptive but when I don't get any email in a day I automatically assume that the internet wasn't working. That's right I feel that the total collapse of the entire world wide web is more likely than my not getting any email in a day. Make of that what you will. Anyway, if I post to the blog then blogger sends me a notification of the post so this way I get email. All will be right again.

I don't think we've posted this site yet and if we have I swear it will not be the last time. This web comic is wonderful.

Mighty Sparrow is Better than Jesus!

That's what someone had written this CD that I picked up last night before my radio show. And, boy is he! Unfortunately, I couldn't find a clip of the song that I played, entitled, `Sell The Pussy,' (it's about a cat, really), but here is a little something I could find:

(Really, it doesn't compare with Sell The Pussy, which includes such great lyrics as "... Before I have to choke and rob and perhaps end up in jail, let me tell your friends you have your pussy for sale." I'm telling you, it's about a cat.)

If you're in the mood for some kickin' Latin beats, check him out. He is the Calypso King!

Hash This Weekend

Winchester Hash House Harriers are holding the first hash of the summer this Saturday starting at 5:00PM. The On-On is at Coalie Harry's Pub in Winchester, VA. The cost is $5 for all you can drink and sing. This is always a great time. See you there.

HowTube

Check out this web site. Its a how to site with produced videos on all sorts of stuff. It was brought to my attention by Boing Boing (of course) which posted this link about how to kiss passionately.

The Bottomless Pit

It occurred to me today that the bottomless pit plays a large part in the defeat of many evil villains (and some heroes). Obviously there's the Emperor and Darth Maul in Star Wars. There's Elsa in The Last Crusade. And of course Mario and Bowser in all of those games. Can you all think of any others?

Big Tall James is "off england for the immediate future." In a recent conversation James proclaimed that he thinks that the English are all "wankers." Just thought you'd like to know.
