The Bottomless Pit
It occurred to me today that the bottomless pit plays a large part in the defeat of many evil villains (and some heroes). Obviously there's the Emperor and Darth Maul in Star Wars. There's Elsa in The Last Crusade. And of course Mario and Bowser in all of those games. Can you all think of any others?

I can think of a lot of really deep pits (i.e. Billl and Ted ... is it a tank?), but bottomless is toughter.
